UPCOMING: What is a miniature Highpark? In, short, it is a small hairy cow that is white with black, red, or dunn points. What are points? Points are the nose, ears, eyes and feet of these adorable babies. A Highland is a mini developed through decades of continued selective breeding. The sweet personality and small size make it an exceptional homestead animal!

ROYAL PALM TURKEYS
Royal Palm Turkeys. While still young chicks, our flock will soon be all grown up. These docile birds are quite friendly and are known to enjoy cuddling with their handlers and running up to you on arrival…SOO sweet! In addition, their eggs are larger and quite tasty! Our striking Royal Palms should be available in the Fall.

MINI NIGERIAN GOATS
Rarely available minis! Black, brown, white, spotted & chamoise. These tiny wonders have quite the personality! Used in our Mini-Goat Yoga program, they are boisterous and fun to be with. STANDARD DONKEY JENNY
Regular sized Donkey. Like our lovable mini donkeys, this standard Jenny is not much bigger at approximately 11.2Hh. She is a proven mare having foaled a beautiful gray mare in 2022. Donkeys are one of the hardiest equine breeds, foaling generally on their owen with great success. With long fuzzy ears on arrival and wonderful temperament, these four-legged babies will WOW you!

VALAIS BLACKNOSE SHEEP
UPCOMING: The Valais Blacknose sheep originate in the Valais region of Switzerland. The are a dual-purpose breed, raised for meat and wool. They arewell adapted to the harsh mountain conditions, being extremely hardy, prolific and frugal. They earliest mention of the breed dates back to 1400 A.D., but they were first recognized as a seperate breed in 1962. The Valais Blacknose Sheep is renown for it's calm and docile temperament.

PYGMY
GOATS
Pygmy goats are a popular breed of goat to raise due to their social nature and small size. If you're considering getting goats, then you might want to start off with pygmy goats. Their small size means that they require much less in the way of feed than standard size goats. Pygmies can ease you into livestock ownership and are an excellent choice for those new to owning goats.

MINI NUBIAN GOAT
The Nubian temperament is sociable, outgoing, and vocal. Because of its elongated ears and sleek body, the Nubian is occasionally nicknamed the "Lop-Eared Goat" or "Greyhound Goat". Mini Nubian does normally stand from 23-29 inches at the withers and weigh around 100 points. Bucks can be larger with a height up to 31 inches and weigh around 135 pounds. As one of its most distinctive features, the Miniature Nubian maintains the long drooping ears of the Nubian.

ALPACAS
One of our favorite animals on the ranch, these colorful Alpaca females give us much joy! Raised ONLY in herds, Alpacas require the company of one another, hence you cannot raise just one. They are the smallest of the camelid species, requiring very little to thrive (only 2% of their body weight daily). They live happily in herds, enjoy playing in water and running in pasture. They also use communal dung piles! They are easy to care for and a LOT of fun! DLT Ranch will keep a male available for breeding as desired. We have one female pair available to an approved home!

SULCATA TORTOISES
The sulcata tortoise (Geochelone sulcata), also known as the African spurred tortoise, is one of the largest tortoise species in the world. It has a brown to yellow shell and very thick, yellowish-brown skin, along with pointed scales—or spurs—on its legs. Native to arid and semiarid regions of Africa, these tortoises can adapt to various living conditions, which is one reason why they have become popular as a pet. If you can keep them happy and healthy, they can make for very fun, curious, and friendly companions!

SHEEP
The Jacob is a British breed of domestic sheep. It combines two characteristics unusual in sheep: it is piebald—dark-coloured with areas of white wool—and it is often polycerate or multi-horned. It most commonly has four horns. Shy by nature, Jacob sheep have a good disposition and are “easy keepers” compared to other sheep species.

GYPSY VANNER
FOAL
The Gypsy Cob, also known as the Gypsy Vanner, is a breed of domestic horse from the British Isles. It is a small, solidly-built horse of cob conformation. The Gypsy horse is usually, but not always, piebald. It may also be skewbald or any solid color. The Gypsy horse should be a "strong, kind, (very) intelligent partner that works willingly and harmoniously with its handler. They are also described as mannerly and manageable, eager to please, confident, courageous, alert, and loyal with a genuine sociable outlook.
